Mid/Senior DevOps Engineer

Tel Aviv, Israel

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our SaaS based company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and experience working with Kubernetes.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with our software development teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation and delivery of our SaaS products to our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the overall architecture of our cloud infrastructure, including the selection of appropriate cloud services
  • Lead the deployment and management of applications using Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Terraform
  • Collaborate with developers to automate and optimize the build, test, and release processes
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and processes through experimentation and learning
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in the DevOps field
  • Work with development teams to continuously improve deployment processes and tools
  • Design and implement automation strategies for the deployment, scaling, and management of our cloud-based applications
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the technical growth of the team

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
  • Strong experience with public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or Pulumi
  • Proficient in Kubernetes and containerization, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containerized applications
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, AlertManager and PagerDuty
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Github Actions and ArgoCD
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Typescript)
  • Experience working with agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Those include data leakage over the web, SaaS apps and GenAI Tools, malicious browser extensions, phishing, account takeovers, shadow SaaS, and more.

Job Description:

LayerX Security is searching for a Sales Engineer to work in the US East Coast region. We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with a proven track record in cyber security to bolster our vibrant team. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by providing technical expertise and support to our sales team and customers. Your primary responsibility will be understanding the LayerX solution and effectively communicating its value proposition to potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the main technical focal point for the sales organization, providing expert guidance and support on LayerX’s solution.
  2. Lead and manage proofs of concept (POCs) to demonstrate the effectiveness and value of the LayerX platform to prospective clients.
  3. Conduct technical demonstrations of the LayerX solution to prospects.
  4. Communicate effectively with product management to relay customer feedback, market trends, and feature requests, contributing to product roadmap discussions.
  5. Gather and analyze prospect or customer requirements to customize solutions and address specific business needs.
  6. Facilitate the smooth handover between pre-sales and post-sales teams, ensuring a seamless transition and alignment of customer expectations.
  7. Travel to Customer meetings, conferences, and company meetings is expected.
  8. Work with LayerX partners on their technical onboarding.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of three years of experience in sales engineering within the cyber security industry, preferably in startup or fast-paced environments.
  2. Strong familiarity with various aspects of cyber security, including data leakage protection, secure browsing, browser isolation, and access control.
  3. Proficiency in articulating technical concepts to technical audiences.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Advantages:

  1. Demonstrated track record of success in sales engineering roles within the cyber security sector.
  2. In-depth knowledge and experience with data leakage protection, secure browsing, browser isolation, and access control solutions.
  3. Experience with prevention products (EDR, SASE, CASB, Enterprise Browsers, etc.) or asset management solutions (MDM, patching, etc.)
  4. Proven ability to effectively navigate complex sales cycles and close deals in a competitive market environment.
